Chapter History
The Delta Lambda Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded on November 3, 1961 at Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. We are the 110th Zeta Tau Alpha chapter, and the 110th link in Zeta Tau Alpha's Chain of Chapters.
When our chapter was installed, GSU was actually called Georgia State College. It wasn't until eight years after our installment, in 1969, that it changed to Georgia State University.
Our chapter was founded with the help of the gentlemen of the Kappa Sigma - Epsilon Omega Chapter here at GSU. In recognition of their assistance, our chapter adopted their mascot, the gator, as our own.
Since our installation in 1961, the Delta Lambda chapter has thrived not only on Georgia State University's campus, but also in our great city of Atlanta.
